How Much It Costs

Every project is unique and every project gets a unique quote. This is typical of any service job that you hire a specialist for. Roofers, plumbers, electricians and commercial artists all have to look at the time they will invest in a project in order to formulate a fair price.

Something to consider beyond cost of the job is the value that you receive. Working with an artist that is friendly, curious, reliable, attentive to details, creative and cool under pressure all increase the value that you receive for your project’s cost, because your result will be better for it. An artist that listens to your requests and communicates effectively with you will be able to create a successful project.

The Graphic Artists Guild publishes the definitive industry guidebook, Pricing & Ethical Guidelines, which is available here. As a member of the Guild, this is one of the books that I consult on every quote that I produce. The prices inside are guides based on industry-wide polls taken from professionals, and ultimately prices will vary by circumstances, location and artist experience.

Still wondering,

“How much will it cost?”

I can give you a very generalized picture of projects that come through McD Workshop. Projects range typically from around a few thousand dollars up to tens of thousands depending on client needs and budgets. I do such varied work however, that even this general range has exceptions.

Find out the cost of your project by filling out a Request For Proposal form, which I will respond to with a quote on your job and initial feedback, or by contacting me otherwise and discussing what you have in mind.
